Um, stop the press. We just released the (still-growing) line-up for the next Under the Radar - the focus is Entertainment & Social Media, and even we're impressed with the star-power. Even more importantly, we're stoked on the presenting companies. One of my faves is PutPlace, an Irish startup that "gathers all the valuable digital stuff you’ve stockpiled over your lifetime — photos, documents, email, music and home movies - then protects and organizes it so you can find exactly what you need, wherever you are."Here's why: I took this amazing trip to Turkey a few years ago and no kidding, some of my pictures looked like they should be in National Geographic. From ancient mosques to underground cities, those photos meant so much to me - not only were they stunning, but they were my memories. Well my boyfriend and I had a mis-communication in the process of tranferring our hard drive to a different computer and POOF! My photos are now in a dump somewhere. What's worse, I had them online at one point, but it was an obscure photosharing service and I can't remember which one - sounds odd, but I've scoured the web and can't find them anywhere.I'd give thousands of dollars to have those pictures back. And PutPlace is just a few dollars a month. I'm in.
